Virus Season, 2022-2023
Cold weather months are known for spreading illness, and One Pediatrics’ practices are seeing plenty of sick patients. Children and parents are encouraged to wear masks during appointments to reduce the spread of viruses and keep healthy patients healthy. Please follow any instructions given by your pediatrician’s office before and during appointments.
Children are less likely to develop a severe infection from Covid-19, though Covid is still prevalent along with flu, RSV, strep and common colds. If your child has symptoms of illness, please call your doctor’s office and we will provide next steps for testing and management.
Examples of when to see us:
- Any fever (>100.4F) in an infant less than 2 months old

- Signs of dehydration (no tears when crying, dark yellow or strong-smelling urine)

- Ear pain for more than 2 days in children older than 2 years, or with fever in those under 2
As always, call us if you have any questions. We are deeply invested in your child’s physical and mental well-being.
